Roller Derby Saved My Soul
So I’m sure you all know that I fell in love in June. I fell hard. I fell fast. I fell in love with Roller Derby.
In the past 7 months, I have met the most amazing women, and we’ve been on this crazy, exciting ride together! Like any relationship, it’s not always easy breezy. It’s been tough. Along with the happiness, there’s been pain, heartache, sadness, anxiety, disappointment, and frustration. But all the while, I’ve had my Mysfit Rollers by my side…with some tough love and a dose of PMA to help me push forward!
I’m currently Fresh Blood for the Long Island Roller Rebels, and I have the best derby “big” sister, Amaretto Sourpuss!!! I have to pass 2 tests in the next month and a half, and then I can finally be a part of the league. And bout. And get a name. So close. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Eat, Sleep, Skate. That’s my life. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
